In Fall 2020 we will work on a musical revue comprised of four groups of 10-12 kids who only rehearse in their small groups. The performance, likely sometime in January (once a space and safety considerations can be determined) will consist of a live performance by only the individual groups and only for immediate family members, performing alongside projected videos of the other groups. A video of all of the groups cut together will be available for sharing.
Rehearsals will take place at what we lovingly refer to as “Fiore Field” (aka at outside my home in Scotch Plains) when the weather permits, via Zoom, and eventually at a venue to be announced. The rehearsal process will include both learning of songs/choreography and theater games and skills.
Health and safety:
For rehearsals, cast members will bring their own chair, practice social distancing, and must wear a mask.
I will ask brief health and safety questions upon arrival based on the current CDC recommendations.
If interest warrants, one of the groups will be completely virtual and every rehearsal will be accessible via teleconferencing should a group member need it.
Casting Everyone who signs up for the production will be included and have moments to shine. The casting of various performance solos will take place during the rehearsal process.
Sign up by both completing the registration form and submitting payment. This program has sold out quickly in the past; please note that your spot is not considered confirmed until payment is received.
Cost of the program is $275. Checks can be made payable to Play Theater and delivered to 2261 Newark Avenue in Scotch Plains or via PayPal (+tax and service fee.)
